Research project title:
Understanding Muscle Activation Patterns for Skilled Arm Movements
Principal goal for project:
Implement a classifier that recognizes patterns in EMG signals recorded from human subject muscles and correlates them with fingers' motion.
Research project:

This proposal is about using EMG signals in order to understand the arm muscle activation patterns of humans for skilled manipulation, which require short term learning. It is shown in a few recent studies that muscle activation patterns change with short time skill training. In this project this observation will be verified and the patterns that relate to a devised and simple skilled manipulation task will be determined.
