Dr. Stefano V. Albrecht

Dr. Stefano V. Albrecht is Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. He leads the Autonomous Agents Research Group (https://agents.inf.ed.ac.uk/) which specialises in developing machine learning algorithms for autonomous systems control, with a particular focus on deep reinforcement learning and multi-agent interaction. His research in these areas has been published in the top AI/ML/robotics conferences and journals, including NeurIPS, ICML, IJCAI, AAAI, UAI, AAMAS, AIJ, JAIR, ICRA, IROS, T-RO. He received personal fellowships from the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Royal Society, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and the German Academic Scholarship Foundation. He is a member of the ELLIS European network of excellence in machine learning research.
