Research project title:
Gait rehabilitation using function electrical stimulation (FES) and assistive exoskeletons
Research project:

Wearable robots and FES are two of the most advanced technologies currently used in gait rehabilitation for neurological patients. Both interventions can have significant orthotic and therapeutic effects on the user's walking ability as well as health benefits associated with the user's upright posture and/or improved blood circulation. The aim of this project is to emphasise on augmenting the therapeutic outcomes of physical therapy to contribute towards reducing the patients' reliance on supportive devices.
