Dr. Tasleem Khan

Dr. Mohd Tasleem Khan is an Assistant Professor in VLSI for Intelligent Communication and Signal Processing Systems within Institute for Signals, Sensors and Systems at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK. He received his Ph.D. in VLSI from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India, in 2019. Before joining Heriot-Watt, he was a Principal Engineer at TSMC, Taiwan, an Assistant Professor at IIT Dhanbad, India, and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Linköping University, Sweden.

His current research focuses on algorithms and architectures for efficient VLSI implementation of ML/AI, Signal Processing, and Communication Systems, emphasizing hardware–algorithm co-design, energy-efficient AI, and intelligent edge computing. He received the Best Paper Award at IEEE VLSID 2019 for his work on efficient FFT design.
