Dr. Gnanathusharan (Thusha) Rajendran is an Associate Professor in Psychology at Heriot-Watt University. He graduated with undergraduate and masters degrees in Psychology from the University of Birmingham, followed by a PhD in Developmental Psychology at the University of Nottingham. He was an ESRC Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham, before becoming a Lecturer at the School of Education, University of Edinburgh, and then a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at the Dept. of Psychology at the University of Strathclyde. Thusha joined the Dept. of Psychology at Heriot-Watt University in 2012 as a Reader. His specialism is in cognitive and social development, digital education, and social robotics. He has been a Co-PI in multiple interdiscplinary teams and HRI funded by the EU, ESRC and EPSRC (including SoCoRo and ECHOES).
