Dr. Pierre Le Bras

Dr. Pierre Le Bras is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science in the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences at Heriot-Watt University. His research centres around the perception of ML/AI generated data, and how non-expert users can build an effective mental model of this information with interactive visualisation systems, with the aim to support accurate interpretability and confident explainability. He studied Computer Science at Heriot-Watt University and completed his PhD in 2019 on Automated Strategic Visualisations and User Confidence. He then worked on the ORCA-Hub project, developing visualisation systems to communicate spatio-temporal conflicts for automated multi-agent temporal planning.
