About me:

I am interested in enabling autonomous and semi-autonomous systems to navigate in natural outdoor environments. In my Masters project I will be looking into fast, reactive, monocular-vision–based obstacle avoidance and how it can be combined with human and machine pilot input to allow for more agile MAV flight. Such technology can help with enabling robotics to operate in complex environments such as disaster zones, forests, or multi-layered poly- and perma-cultural farms.

More generally, I am keen to explore the question of how to ensure technology is a driver for greater social and environmental justice.
