Dr Frank Broz is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Heriot-Watt University. He graduated with a BSc in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, followed by a PhD in Robotics at the CMU Robotics Institute. He was a Research Fellow at the University of Hertfordshire working on the RoboCub and ITALK projects and a Senior Research Fellow at Plymouth University working on the Robot-ERA project before joining Heriot-Watt University in 2015. His research interests are in artificial intelligence, human-robot interaction, nonverbal behavior, and assistive and social robotics.
