Dr. Stefano Albrecht

Dr. Stefano V. Albrecht is Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence in the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh, where he leads the Autonomous Agents Research Group (http://agents.inf.ed.ac.uk) within the Centre for Intelligent Systems and Applications. He is a Royal Society Industry Fellow working with FiveAI to research and develop AI technologies for autonomous vehicles. His research interests are in the areas of autonomous agents, multi-agent systems, machine/reinforcement learning, and game theory, with a focus on sequential decision making under uncertainty. Dr. Albrecht's research on multi-agent interaction and complex probabilistic inference has been published in leading AI conferences and journals, including IJCAI, AAAI, UAI, AAMAS, AIJ, JAIR. Previously, Dr. Albrecht was a postdoctoral research fellow at The University of Texas at Austin where his research was supported by a fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
